Asbestos Contractor Supervisor Initial Course - 40 Hour: The Asbestos Supervisor Contractor Initial course is EPA / State of Michigan required course in order to supervise and manage asbestos abatement activities within the State of Michigan. This is an EPA based five day (40 hour) course teaching the detailed requirements for managing asbestos abatement activities. The course topics include all the basic information included in a worker course plus additional information regarding supervision and management techniques. Additional Topics include: background information on asbestos, health effects, asbestos removal and containment methods, cleaning up after asbestos projects, personal protective equipment, waste disposal, legal liabilities, insurance requirements, contract specifications, OSHA & EPA requirements, etc.. Upon completion of this course, students may opt to send certificate and fees to the State of Michigan to become a State / EPA Certified Asbestos Supervisor Contractor. Includes state approved exam for certification.
