Lead Risk Assessor - Refresher:
This EPA / State of Michigan accredited course is required for all lead risk assessors every three (3) years to keep certified. This is a one day (8 hour) course refreshing students on the fundamentals of performing lead risk assessments within "targeted housing" or "child occupied facilities". The course topics include: reviewing lead inspection information, detailed review of homes to identify potential lead risks, a review of dust, soil, and water sampling from the inspector course, methods followed to evaluate hazards and paint within the building, developing strategies to allow building owners to reduce lead exposures and report generation. Additinally, this course will assist students on keeping up with the current changes within the industry and new requirements from federal or state regulations. Includes a course exam.
Students must currently be certified through an EPA approved program as both a Lead Inspector and Risk Assessor and must take both refresher classes (inspector and risk assessor) to remain certified as a Risk Assessor. Upon completion of this course, students will send their traning certificate and fees to the MDCH - Lead and Healthy Homes Section to take the third-party certification exam to continue their State / EPA certification as Lead Inspector - Risk Assessor.
Do not let your Lead Risk Assessor license expire! The Lead Risk Assessor refresher training provides information for those individuals who wish to perform lead-based paint Risk Assessment or Lead Hazard Screening services. This class meets EPA's training requirements and will prepare students to perform on-site inspections, take samples, determine the severity of lead hazards, and develop options for eliminating those hazards. EPA requires that an individual wishing to be certified as a Risk Assessor must first successfully complete the Lead Inspector class, and meet the necessary education and experience requirements. This workshop prepares you to immediately apply your knowledge to the field, with real-world examples from experienced instructors.

Thanks a lot for yesterday’s training. You were clear and to the point. The subject material makes sense and it was presented well. Your practical approach is refreshing and you see through the bs that is tossed around by the EPA, DOE, etc. And here is one for you, I don’t think that you charge enough for this service. I got a bargain at $200.00. I’m just sayin’.

Thanks for the class this morning. It was great being able to have just our small group in training this morning. Made it a lot easier and enjoyable to absorb everything that we had to put into our brains (which isn’t an easy task to do with our group!). The time just flew by and I appreciated your teaching style. If I ever decide to get more training into the lead business, I’ll definitely be looking you up. Thanks again!

Wow, I learned alot and was vary happy with the whole class. Ed was the most knowledgable trainer and the best class I have been in. He made it easy to understand and gave hand-on advice to make the job easier. Hey - also thanks for the tip on the rrp wipes/floor wipes/hand washing station (you should patent it).
